It is essential that together as a team we foster a passion and love for reading in our children. Those who read avidly are able to take virtual trips around the world and experience many fascinating things.
I believe an educator must teach the “whole” child. We must provide students with the academic skills needed to compete in our community, as well as those fundamental skills needed to communicate effectively in our society. Discipline, courtesy, and manners are some key elements of society children learn, not through a schools’ curriculum, but though their day-today experiences at school, home, and their interaction with the community. Each stakeholder plays an integral role in the development of a well rounded child, and it is our responsibility to develop the mind and reinforce the other social and cultural components of our children to ensure educational success.
